The tree is DONE!

Do you know how many French knots were in that thing!!?? No, don't either but I can tell you there were a BUNCH! And I hate French knots. Well, maybe that is a bit harsh. I don't mind a few French knots but this many was tedious. Here it is. Now on to other things on this stocking. It is coming right along!!! Have to be done by Sept. Do you think I will make it or have to wait until next year to enter in the fair? Does not matter as long as it is done for Christmas!

OH Becky I just love this. This one is one of my very favorite stocking patterns anyway, and it's looking so good. You should have hollered. I love french knots. That's one of the first stitches my Mother taught me and she had me do them until I could do them quickly and right. I'm apparently not normal, I love backstitching too. Good job on this!!! I'll bet you get it done by fair time.

I did one if these stockings too. It had a bowl of popcorn and cranberries strung on the fireplace. A LOT of knots. They look wonderful though.

You are doing a great job Becky. I can't wait to see it finished.

Maria, Becky has stitched every one of the Heirloom Stockings for her family. You should see them, they are breathtaking and so gorgeous on her fireplace at Christmas time. I've only got one about halfway done and it has been like that for about 10 years now. Guess I really do need to pick that one up again. It was the project she taught me to use evenweave for the first time.
